Ahead of the fourth phase of polling in the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to conduct election rallies in Maharashtra and Telangana on Friday. The fourth phase of voting is slated for May 13, with vote counting set for June 4.

In Nandurbar, the Prime Minister will hold a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Heena Gavit, showcasing backing for the party’s contenders. Heena Vijaykumar Gavit, the BJP’s winning candidate from the Nandurbar Lok Sabha constituency in the 2019 elections, is contesting against Gowaal Padavi.

Following this, PM Modi will address public gatherings in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar and Hyderabad. In Hyderabad, Madhavi Latha will face off against Asaduddin Owaisi, a four-time Lok Sabha MP. This marks the first instance of the BJP nominating a female candidate from the Hyderabad constituency. In Mahabubnagar, Challa Vamsichand Reddy is contesting for Congress, while DK Aruna represents the BJP, and Manna Srinivas Reddy is the incumbent MP running on the BRS ticket.

All 17 seats in Telangana will go to polls on May 13 in the fourth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Subsequently, PM Modi will proceed to Odisha, where he will conduct a roadshow in Bhubaneswar later in the evening. Odisha is set to hold Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in four phases from May 13 to June 1, with vote counting scheduled for June 4.

In the 2019 Assembly election, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) secured victory in 112 out of 146 seats, while the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won 23 seats and the Congress secured 9.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) emerged as the leading party in the state, with the BJP and Congress trailing behind.
