PM Modi Slams Dynasties in Jammu and Kashmir Election Rally, Promises Prosperity

In a fiery address at an election rally in Doda district on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections as a battle between the region’s youth and the “three dynasties” he claims have “destroyed” the area.

PM Modi identified Congress, National Conference (NC), and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the three dynasties responsible for Jammu and Kashmir’s woes, accusing them of corruption and mismanagement that led to widespread suffering and the growth of terrorism.

“This year’s elections will be a contest between these three dynasties and the youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” Modi declared. He criticized the three parties for their role in fostering terrorism and extremism in the region, asserting that they have prioritized their own interests over the well-being of the people.

Modi emphasized his commitment to a prosperous future for Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that it was his personal guarantee to work diligently to achieve this goal. “I will repay the love and blessings of our people by working twice and thrice as hard. Together, we will build a safe and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir,” he pledged.

Highlighting the historical context, Modi pointed out the dire state of Jammu and Kashmir, attributing it to both external threats and the internal failings of political dynasties. He accused these parties of stifling new leadership and failing to address the needs of the youth.

The Prime Minister also noted the recent improvements under his administration, including the holding of panchayat, BDC, and DDC elections, which he said were aimed at strengthening democracy at the grassroots level.

Modi took a swipe at the opposition, particularly targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s slogan of ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ (shop of love). Modi claimed that opposition parties run “nafrat ki dukaan” (shops of hate) while pretending to advocate for love, and he criticized them for their stance on Article 370, which he argued would lead to a resurgence of unrest and deprivation in the region.

He further accused opposition parties of using the Constitution as a shield to cover up their misdeeds, claiming they had historically deprived certain communities of their rights and reservations. Modi contrasted this with the BJP’s efforts to extend reservations and voting rights to previously marginalized groups.

Addressing recent remarks by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Modi questioned the party’s intentions and suggested that their agenda was to undermine the BJP and its leaders.

In closing, Modi reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of all residents of Jammu and Kashmir, regardless of their religion or cultural background. “It’s only the BJP that can reinforce statehood to Jammu and Kashmir,” he concluded.
