PM Narendra Modi in Varanasi on August 2, released the 20th instalment of the PM‑Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. As thousands of farmers benefited from the ₹21,000 crore disbursement, PM Modi also shared a message of strength and symbolism.

He dedicated the success of Operation Sindoor—India’s retaliatory strike after the Pahalgam terror attack—to Lord Mahadev, calling it a promise fulfilled with spiritual blessings. The speech fused welfare, security, and symbolism, delivering both farmer relief and a strong moral message in the same breath.

PM-KISAN Reaches Milestone

Standing before a sea of supporters, PM Modi presses a single button to release ₹2,000 each to over 9 crore farmer families. This is the twentieth installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), a BJP flagship program that remains a political pillar.

PM Modi calls small farmers the backbone of India and restates his government’s commitment to strengthening them.

‘Avenged Pahalgam’: PM Modi Links Operation Sindoor to Mahadev

In a deeply emotional moment, PM Modi invokes Lord Shiva and says, “This is my first visit to Kashi after Operation Sindoor. 26 innocent civilians were killed by terrorists in Pahalgam. I pledged revenge for the sindoor of my daughters—and fulfilled it with Mahadev’s blessings.”

PM confirms that the operation targeted terror hubs in Pakistan after The Resistance Front, a Lashkar-e-Taiba offshoot, brutally attacked civilians in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam region.

Faith, Security, & Politics

In his speech, PM Modi deftly blends nationalism, religion, and security. By linking Operation Sindoor to divine justice and patriotism, he creates a powerful narrative that appeals to both passion and security sentiment. Promises of improvement have given way to stern retaliation against terrorists in his speech.

The area’s importance is increased by its closeness to Kashi, the centre of Indian religion. Ahead of important elections, PM Modi’s declaration, “I dedicate the success of Operation Sindoor at the feet of Mahadev,” is probably going to strike a deep chord with core BJP followers.

BJP Balances Welfare & Warfare

Today’s address blends governance with aggression, subsidy with sovereignty, and faith with firepower. PM-KISAN showcases economic outreach; Operation Sindoor cements military resolve. With Modi placing divine justice at the heart of India’s counter-terror strategy, the BJP’s narrative grows sharper: India’s future lies in strong hands, guided by faith, powered by decisive action.

As elections loom, this messaging—delivered from Varanasi, one of Hinduism’s holiest cities—is more than symbolism. It is strategy, story, and sentiment rolled into one.
