India celebrated its 79th Independence Day on 15 August 2025 with pride and unity. From the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation with a message that blended history, defence, technology, economic reforms, and future vision and he paid tribute to leaders like Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, hailed the success of Operation Sindoor, and spoke on water diplomacy, energy progress, and space exploration. He announced advances in semiconductor manufacturing, youth-led industries, and women’s empowerment, and the address reflected the spirit of self-reliance, inclusive growth, and global leadership.


Tribute to Freedom Fighters and Leaders

PM Modi honoured the sacrifices of freedom fighters who shaped the nation. He gave special tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee for his role in national unity and integrity while he reminded citizens to draw inspiration from past leaders to guide the present and future.

Defence Success Through Operation Sindoor

The Prime Minister praised Operation Sindoor, a recent military mission that showcased India’s advanced defence capabilities and he stressed the country’s readiness to meet strategic challenges and its focus on modernising the armed forces.
