Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day Gujarat visit, organized a grand roadshow in Ahmedabad on Monday evening prior to a planned public rally. The event was witnessed by hordes of crowds as the supporters filled the roads with their presence to welcome the Prime Minister.

Warm Welcome at Ahmedabad Airport

On his arrival at Ahmedabad airport, PM Modi was greeted by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil, who is also a Lok Sabha representative of Gujarat. The welcoming marked the beginning of the high-octane political interactions ahead.

2-Kilometre Roadshow in Eastern Ahmedabad

Starting from the airport, the Prime Minister went to the Naroda locality and had a virtually 2-km-long roadshow. The journey started at Haridarshan crossroads and ended at Khodaldham ground in the Nikol area, where his rally was to be held.

There were thousands of citizens along both sides of the road, waving flags, showering with flowers, and raising slogans in favor of the Prime Minister. A number of cultural performances and exhibits were also organized on the way, evoking the festive mood.

Public Rally and Project Launches

After the roadshow, PM Modi will also address a huge public rally at Khodaldham ground. At the rally, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of development projects worth ₹5,477 crore. These projects are likely to concentrate on urban infrastructure, water supply, and connectivity, highlighting the development agenda of the government for Gujarat.

The roadshow comes at a time when Gujarat remains central to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s strategy ahead of upcoming electoral battles. The enthusiastic turnout is being seen as both a show of strength and a reaffirmation of Modi’s enduring connect with the people of his home state.

While PM Modi is on his Gujarat tour, political analysts will be keeping a close eye on the message from his rally and the projects declared, both of which are set to dictate the narrative in the coming months.
