Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings to the people of India, urging them to work harder in building a “Viksit Bharat.” Posting on social media platform X, he wrote, “Wishing everyone a very happy Independence Day. May this day inspire us to keep working even harder to realize the dreams of our freedom fighters and build a Viksit Bharat. Jai Hind!”

The message underscores the PM’s focus on national development and progress, encouraging citizens to contribute toward the vision of a modern, self-reliant India In the pursuit of social, economic, and technological advancement, it also emphasizes how crucial it is to keep in mind the sacrifices made by freedom warriors.

Flag Hoisting and Prime Minister’s Address

Later in an hour, Prime Minister Modi will hoist the national tricolour at the Red Fort in Delhi and deliver his 12th consecutive Independence Day speech from the historic monument’s ramparts. 
The speech is anticipated to highlight government efforts, consider the country's journey over the last seven decades, and lay out the plan for this year's celebrations, which will center on the subject of Naya Bharat.

The PM’s address, broadcast live across the country, will also focus on the vision for achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047, marking India’s centenary of independence. The purpose of this subject is to encourage people to take an active role in the development and progress of their country.
