PM Modi drives development talks with BJP state leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a productive session on Sunday with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from BJP-governed states, discussing strategies to expedite development and ensure the welfare of citizens. The discussion, held at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, aimed at strengthening the party’s outreach efforts ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
A credible source mentioned that the meeting focused on designing programs to connect with a larger populace, particularly in BJP-controlled states, and enhancing the party’s position in non-BJP territories. A mass contact campaign, “Mahajansampark Abhiyan,” running from May 30 to June 30, was also announced as part of these outreach efforts. In attendance were several key party leaders, including BJP national president JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers from Maharashtra, Goa, Haryana, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Tripura. In a tweet following the meeting, PM Modi wrote, “Had a constructive meeting with BJP CMs and Deputy CMs today. We discussed ways for accelerating development and ensuring the welfare of our citizens.” The Chief Ministers reported ongoing developmental activities within their states during the insightful session.
