PM Narendra Modi, on Saturday, held a telephone conversation with his British counterpart Keir Starmer. Congratulating the newly minted UK PM, he applauded the Labour Party’s landslide victory in the recently held polls. PM Modi also extended an invitation to PM Starmer for an early visit to India.
The conversation came as the Indian leader took to X to congratulate Starmer following his victory in the UK General Elections. He wrote, “Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Keir Starmer on the remarkable victory in the UK general elections.” He added, “I look forward to our positive and constructive collaboration to further strengthen the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in all areas, fostering mutual growth and prosperity.”
