PM Modi Celebrates 10 Years of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ Thanks Listeners as Show’s “Real Anchors”

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’ celebrated its 10th anniversary on Sunday, he expressed his gratitude to the program’s listeners, referring to them as the “anchors” of the show. He remarked, “The listeners of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ are the true anchors of this show. There is a common perception that a program only garners attention when it involves sensational or negative topics. However, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has demonstrated how eager people are for positive information. People appreciate uplifting stories, inspiring examples, and encouraging narratives.”

Reflecting on the completion of a decade of the show, the Prime Minister noted, “The 10-year journey of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has created a sort of garland, where each episode brings new stories, new achievements, and introduces new personalities. The collective efforts happening in our society are acknowledged through ‘Mann Ki Baat’. My heart swells with pride when I read the letters that are sent to the show.”

During the 114th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ Modi also called upon citizens to participate in the cleanliness campaign under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission.’ He emphasized the importance of making cleanliness a continuous habit, saying, “We need to involve as many people as possible in this ongoing cleanliness drive. This is not just a one-day or one-year campaign; it is an endeavor that must be sustained until ‘cleanliness’ becomes second nature to us. I encourage all of you to join the cleanliness drive with your family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues.”

He further commended the public for the success of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission,’ noting that the ‘Waste to Wealth’ mantra is gaining traction among people. “People have begun to adopt the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle,” he added, highlighting the growing awareness around sustainable practices.
