Farmers across India are eagerly awaiting the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Around 9–10 crore farmers are expected to receive ₹2,000 each directly in their bank accounts between Navratri and Diwali, offering timely financial support during the festive season. The government is expected to announce the official release date soon.
To receive the installment without delays, farmers must complete their e-KYC verification. Payments may be withheld for those who have not updated their details. Additionally, the Aadhaar must be linked to the bank account, as the scheme uses Aadhaar authentication for processing payments.
Launched in 2019, the PM Kisan scheme provides farmers with ₹6,000 annually, paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The scheme aims to offer direct financial support to small and marginal farmers, helping them manage agricultural expenses and household needs.
So far, 20 installments have been successfully disbursed. The 20th installment, released on 2 August 2025, benefited over 9.7 crore farmers, with a total of approximately ₹20,500 crore transferred directly to their bank accounts. Since its inception, the government has credited more than ₹3.69 lakh crore to farmers’ accounts under this scheme.
Farmers can verify their 21st installment status through the official PM Kisan portal by entering their Aadhaar number, bank account number, or registered mobile number. The portal provides details such as:
Farmer’s name
Village, district, and state
Payment status and installment details
Aadhaar verification status
This ensures transparency and allows farmers to confirm their eligibility and payment status before the installment is credited. The 21st installment is expected to provide crucial financial relief ahead of the festive season. Farmers are advised to complete all formalities, including e-KYC and Aadhaar linking, to avoid delays and ensure timely receipt of the payment.
