People can’t stay at ITO even for a moment due to foul smell

CM Arvind Kejriwal said after inspecting the damaged drain regulator at Vikas Marg, ITO, that the flow of the Yamuna was so high that it breached the regulator and entered the city. Labourers and engineers worked overnight to create a mud wall to stop the water from entering the city. Saurabh Bharadwaj, Minister of the Delhi government, said that to prevent Yamuna water from entering the city, we wrote to the Chief Secretary on the WhatsApp group to call the NDRF; otherwise, floodwaters might enter sensitive areas of Delhi. We also asked the DM. But our messages were ignored last night.
Meanwhile, the floodwaters reached the entrance of the Supreme Court in central Delhi and submerged the busy ITO intersection and Rajghat as the Irrigation and Flood Control Department›s regulator was damaged.
On the other hand, The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the national capital will receive light to moderate rainfall from July 14 to July 19.
