The Pegasus software, developed by Israeli company NSO, is back in the news. Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, has claimed that her mobile phone was hacked using this spy software.
She shared a screenshot of an alert received on her iPhone to support her claim. Iltija has accused the BJP of the hacking and questioned how low they will stoop.
In a post on X(formerly twitter) on Wednesday, July 10, Iltija Mufti said, “I received an Apple alert indicating that my phone was hacked using Pegasus, a software purchased and weaponized by the Indian government to harass critics and political opponents. The BJP shamelessly spies on women simply because we refuse to obey them. How low will they stoop?” She said while sharing screenshot of the alert.
