The Paralympics Committee of India (PCI) announced a new accessibility partner for the upcoming Paris Paralympics 2024, set to take place from August 28th to September 8th, 2024. The event will feature over 4,000 athletes competing in 22 different sports, showcasing a diverse and thrilling competition on a global stage.
Svayam has been selected as the accessibility partner for the Paris Paralympics 2024, continuing its collaboration with PCI, which has spanned 4-5 years. This partnership aims to advance the cause of accessibility and inclusivity in sports by ensuring accessible transportation for the Indian Para Contingent. Svayam will also conduct comprehensive access audits of pre-identified hotels and buildings where para-athletes will stay in New Delhi, and has donated a fully modified accessible vehicle to PCI to enhance mobility and support for para-players.

Indian para shuttler Pramod Bhagat will miss the upcoming Paris Paralympic Games after receiving an 18-month suspension for violating the Badminton World Federation (BWF) anti-doping regulations. Despite this setback, Pramod had a remarkable performance at the Para World Championships 2024, securing a gold and two bronze medals.
