
Patna Metro Inauguration Date, Route, Timing, Fare and Station List of Bihar's First Metro Service
The inauguration of Bihar's first-ever metro service in its capital city, Patna, has finally wrapped up. This marks a significant step in the state's development, which will also soon be followed by its assembly election. The event took place on October 6th with Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as the guest of honour.
The Patna Metro will officially commence its services from October 7, creating history by becoming the first metro service of the state. As of now, the metro will cover a distance of 3.6 km going from ISBT (Patliputra Bus Terminal) to Bhootnath via its Blue Line, also called the Priority Corridor.
The Patna Metro services will begin operation from 8 am to 10 pm daily. The service will begin on October 7th, transporting people via its Blue Line, also called the Priority Corridor.
The Blue Line of the Patna Metro services will charge travellers a nominal fee of ₹15, stretching up to ₹30. It will enable people to travel from ISBT (Patliputra Bus Terminal) to Bhootnath, making the commute a smoother experience in the 3.6 km stretch.
Launched by CM Nitish Kumar, the Patna Metro will transport people between the following stations via its Blue Line (Priority Corridor):

The Blue Line of the Patna Metro currently stretches only 3.6 km, with 3 stops. However, it will eventually extend to 16.2 km and will host 12 stops, transporting people from one end to the other in 24 minutes.

The Patna Metro is a major step in reducing congestion in the densely populated areas of the capital city. It is expected to help reduce traffic by a big margin and make the commute an easier experience for residents. The system has been made in partnership with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Government of Bihar.
Additionally, there are also plans for a Red Line (East-West Corridor), which will connect Danapur Cantonment to Khemnichak with 14 stations.
