On Monday, the Patna administration ordered to close all schools in district until 18 June due to a severe heat wave in the city, as per the official statement.
The order applies to all the private and government schools, including pre-schools and Anganwari centres in Patna, it said.
According to a circular from Patna District Magistrate, the order will come into force with effect from today and will remain effective till next Sunday, i.e., 18 June.
“Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, DM, Patna, under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, does hereby prohibit the academic activities of all the private and government schools of Patna District up to Class XII till 18 June, 2023,” as per the circular.
