Outrage in Amethi as license of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital revoked

The controversy arising over the suspension of the license of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Amethi has now taken a serious political form. In this matter, both BJP and Congress are embroiled in a face-off. Congress has accused the BJP state government of taking action in order to spread political hatred. In this regard, the party’s state president Ajay Rai has also written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has responded by issuing a statement on this matter. He said that action had been taken against the hospital only after an investigation.
Uttar Pradesh Health Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the incident at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Amethi is unfortunate. A young woman has died, stated a local committee, which has conducted a full investigation. The Health Minister said that action has been taken against the hospital only after investigating the matter. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, “ We are regularizing all the hospitals in the state. We will not spare any hospital which due to negligence or inattention leads to untimely death of patients. Strict action will be taken.”
Actually, Divya Shukla, wife of Anuj Shukla, resident of Ram Shahpur village of Kotwali area Musafirkhana, had gone to the hospital along with her family to get the stone operation done at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Munsiganj, Amethi. She was given injection during the operation. According to the information received, after this her condition worsened and she went into coma. Later, Divya died in the hospital. After the death, the family members of the deceased protested by keeping the dead body in front of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. The family members demanded an assistance amount of Rs 1 crore from the hospital. Along with this, action was demanded against the accused. On the complaint of the victim’s family, a case was registered against 4 people of the hospital by the district administration.
In this case, the license of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital has been suspended and all services have been banned. In view of the closure of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital and the continuous problems being faced by the patients, the leaders and workers of the Congress Party have submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the District Magistrate.
