Nomination process ready for both assembly constituencies in Haryana 2024 elections

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Yash Garg has announced that preparations for the nomination process in both assembly constituencies of the district for the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 have been completed. He informed that candidates can file their nominations for the Kalka Assembly constituency at the SDM Office in Kalka and for the Panchkula Assembly constituency at the SDM Court Room located in the Mini Secretariat, Panchkula.

Garg stated that officers and staff have been assigned duties for the nomination process in both the Kalka and Panchkula assembly constituencies by the Returning Officers. Rehearsals for the nomination process have also been conducted. He mentioned that the notification for the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 will be issued on September 5. With the notification, the nomination process for the Kalka and Panchkula Assembly constituencies will begin. He further informed that candidates can file their nominations on any working day from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM until September 12.

The District Election Officer also provided details about the voters in both constituencies, stating that there are a total of 433,369 voters in the district, including 227,053 male voters, 206,290 female voters, and 26 third-gender voters. The Kalka Assembly constituency has 200,297 voters, comprising 104,426 male voters, 95,853 female voters, and 18 third-gender voters. The Panchkula Assembly constituency has 233,072 voters, including 122,627 male voters, 110,437 female voters, and 8 third-gender voters. He mentioned that the District Election Office received applications for new voters until September 2, and the process of including these new voters in the voter list is ongoing and will be completed soon.

Dr. Yash Garg urged all voters to ensure they cast their votes at the polling stations on October 5.
