Unease grows among bureaucrats in Chhattisgarh after the Supreme Court and other courts refused to provide relief to former bureaucrats Aman Singh and GP Singh. Aman Singh, an ex-IRS officer who served as principal secretary to ex-CM Raman Singh, could not get reprieve from the SC on his plea of being targeted by the BhupeshBaghel government, and another court refused his plea for anticipatory bail in an EOW case against him. Suspended IPS and ex-ADGP GP Singh, out on bail, got a setback from the High Court in an extortion case. Incidentally, Aman Singh and a former CG Chief Secretary, Sunil Kumar, both resigned from the board of a TV channel; they had joined a few months ago. Identification and probable indictment of other officers in these cases is likely to hit the state hard as it faces a shortage of officers.
