NIA charges 12 more in Bishnoi, Bambiha gangs

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed two supplementary charge sheets against members of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Bambiha gangs. These charge sheets encompass three gangsters from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and nine from the Bambiha gang, totaling twelve individuals. Previously, on March 21 and 24, the NIA had filed charge sheets against members of both gangs.
To date, the NIA has filed charge sheets against 38 individuals, comprising terrorists and gangsters. This tally includes Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa. Furthermore, 14 gangsters from the Lawrence gang and 12 from the Bambiha gang have been implicated. Members from the Lawrence gang include Lakhbir Singh alias Landa, Dilip Kumar Bishnoi alias Bhola, and Surendra Singh alias Cheeku. From the Bambiha gang, individuals such as Sukhdul Singh alias Sukha Duneke, Chenu Pahalwan, Daler Kotia, Dinesh Gandhi, and Sunny Dagar alias Vikram are implicated.
Lakhbir Singh Landa, a fugitive gangster with close ties to Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda, is believed to be in Canada, orchestrating nefarious activities for the Bishnoi gang. Landa’s operations from Canada involve directing his Indian-based gang to threaten and execute politicians, athletes, and those affiliated with Punjabi music. Landa, in collaboration with terrorist Rinda who is hiding in Pakistan, was involved in an RPG attack on Sarhali police station in Tarn Taran, Punjab. Both orchestrated the weapon supplies for this assault.
Additionally, gangsters Dilip Kumar Bishnoi and Surendra Singh, who have close associations with incarcerated Lawrence Bishnoi and others like Anmol Bishnoi and Kala Jathedi, manage arms and drug smuggling operations for the gang. They use their illicit earnings to establish properties in others’ names, maintaining them as assets. The NIA discovered the gang’s hidden weapons cache in Punjab and Haryana.
The agency has charged these three individuals with murder and extortion. They are known to have threatened and, in some instances, killed various professionals, including businessmen, doctors, politicians, and Punjabi entertainers. Their operations extend beyond India to countries such as Pakistan, Nepal, and Canada.
The NIA also presented charge sheets against nine Bambiha gang members, with Sukhdul and Sunny being closely linked to Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dalla. Dalla, affiliated with the Khalistan Tiger Force, has been designated a terrorist under the UAPA by the Indian Government. Additionally, four Bambiha gang members, including Neeraj Pandit and Dinesh Gandhi, have been labelled as POs, and the court is requested to declare them fugitives.
The NIA’s charge sheet reveals that both gangs have established overseas “Communication and Control Centers” to coordinate with their India-based operations. These individuals, hiding in various countries such as the USA, Middle East, Thailand, Philippines, and Canada, threaten and often eliminate Punjabi entertainers, athletes, businessmen, and religious leaders through their network.
After a crime, those stationed abroad arrange hiding spots to shield culprits from the police. According to the NIA, the funds amassed are used to purchase weaponry and orchestrate terrorist activities.
