Key facts have been revealed in the murder case that took place during the YSRCP government. The Special Investigation Team appointed in this case included sensational facts in its report and submitted it to the court.

The SIT has concluded that YSRCP MLC Anantha Babu and his wife Anantha Lakshmi Durga alias Roja were also involved in the murder of Dalit youth Subramaniam. It has been established that she not only instigated the murder but also assisted Anantha Babu in this crime in every way. It has also been found that she played a key role in the destruction and disappearance of evidence after the murder. After analyzing the footage from the CCTV cameras, it has been concluded that she was travelling with the main accused Anantha Babu at the scene of the murder and in the vehicle in which the body was taken after it.

The SIT has included YSRCP MLC Anantha Babu’s wife Anantha Lakshmi Durga alias Roja as A-2 in the murder case of Dalit youth Subrahmanyam. It has charged her with murder, abetment to murder and destruction of evidence. The SIT officials, who conducted further investigation in the case, filed a chargesheet to this effect in the SC and ST court in Rajahmundry on Yesterday.

As part of the SIT investigation, CCTV footage, call records, witness statements, other technical evidence, and forensic analysis were conducted. Many new elements came to light in it. All of them were included in the charge sheet. Subrahmanyam worked as a car driver for Anantha Babu and his wife Lakshmi Durga for 6 years. During that time, he borrowed Rs. 50,000 from Anantha Babu for his wedding expenses. Of that, he paid back Rs. 30,000. Subrahmanyam had quit his job with Anantha Babu and his wife 3 months before he was murdered. Anantha Babu, who had developed a grudge, repeatedly threatened Subrahmanyam and his family members, demanding that they pay him the Rs. 20,000 owed to him.

On May 19, 2022, at 7.30 pm, Subrahmanyam and his friend left the Rambageecha apartment where they lived. On the same day, at 8.09 pm, Ananthababu called Subrahmanyam’s father and inquired about him.
