‘Murderous Attack On Arvind Kejriwal’: Stone Attack On His Car During Election Campaign | WATCH

A day after an alleged assault on his vehicle during election canvassing, AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed his disappointment over the unprecedented level of violence in campaigning. Speaking on Sunday, Kejriwal accused BJP’s New Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma’s supporters of orchestrating the attack, terming it a “murderous attempt.”

“The people of Delhi have never seen such violent campaigning. This attack shows their desperation as they are losing badly,” Kejriwal remarked.

The AAP alleged that the incident occurred during Kejriwal’s campaign in the New Delhi constituency on Saturday, with “goons” targeting his vehicle. Meanwhile, Kejriwal dismissed Verma’s claim that he would lose the seat by 20,000 votes, sarcastically responding, “Let him live in his dreams for a few more days.”

Proposal for Housing Scheme for Government Employees

In addition to addressing the alleged attack, Kejriwal announced a proposal aimed at improving housing for government employees in Delhi. He shared that he has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that the Delhi government could construct houses for employees if the central government allocates land for the initiative.

“We propose starting with sanitation workers as beneficiaries and later expanding to other government employees. The houses would be provided on easy terms,” Kejriwal said.

The AAP leader’s dual focus on safety concerns during campaigning and welfare initiatives reflects his ongoing commitment to addressing critical issues in the run-up to the elections.
