A speeding BMW slammed a couple on a two-wheeler in Mumbai’s Worli early this morning, leading to the death of a lady, police said.
The two, who live in the Koliwada district of Worli, went to Sassoon Dock around 5:30 a.m. to catch fish. As they were heading home with their catch, a speeding BMW smacked their two-wheeler from behind. The hit was violent, forcing the bike to topple and tossing both husband and wife onto the car’s bonnet. In a frantic attempt to rescue himself, the spouse jumped from the bonnet. However, his wife was not as lucky.
During the confusion, the driver of the four-wheeler fled the scene, letting the wounded woman behind. The injured woman was soon transported to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
