Mumbai: 22-Year-Old Man On The Run After ‘Raping’ Minor Girl

According to police officials, the sexual assault occurred between March 1 and March 15.

The Mumbai police are looking for a 22-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile girl in Mumbai’s central suburbs. According to the authorities, the accused often followed her to school and harassed her in the roads near her residence. However, in March, the accused reportedly forced her into his home and raped her.

According to police officials, the sexual assault occurred between March 1 and March 15. “The accused is still on the run, and we’re attempting to find him. He comes from the same area as the victim and has stayed in her neighborhood,” an officer stated.

According to the police, the accused has been stalking her for the past few months. She said that he frequently harassed her by following her to school and making comments as she walked through the roads near her house.

“We have learnt that the accused had taken advantage of an area being dark, pulled her inside his house and sexually assaulted her,” a police officer stated.

The girl first refused to tell anyone about her ordeal because he had threatened to hurt her and her family members.

However, when the girl complained of a terrible stomach ache, she was transported to the hospital.

The physicians discovered she was 10 weeks pregnant, and the matter was reported to the police station. “We have filed a complaint for rape, molestation, and criminal intimidation. We have learned that the suspects fled to Uttar Pradesh. We’ll arrest him soon,” the cop stated.
