MP Kartikay Sharma’s advocacy grants land rights to Dhaulidar Brahmins

Rajya Sabha MP Kartikey Sharma’s efforts have paid off, as the government has granted ownership rights of Dhauli land to the Brahmin community. This means that Brahmins can now sell the land they own in Dhauli.

The announcement was made by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal during the Bhagwan Parshuram Mahakumbh held in Karnal on December 11, 2022.

The decision gives Brahmins ownership and the right to sell the land that was donated to Dhauli years ago. The Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana have issued directives to all district deputy commissioners in this regard.

The Haryana Dhauli, Bhootimar, Bhondedar, and Mukarraridar (Imposition of Ownership Rights) Act have been amended, allowing the Dhaulidars to have ownership rights over private individuals’ or organizations’ land without restrictions on selling donated land.

MP Kartikey Sharma expressed gratitude to CM Manohar Lal for fulfilling this demand. He highlighted that the CM has addressed all the demands of the Brahmin community during the Mahakumbh in Karnal. Since becoming an MP, Kartikey Sharma has been consistently approached by people from the Brahmin community with this demand.

His efforts to bring this demand to the government and the CM have resulted in the community gaining ownership rights, a decision sealed by the CM during the Brahmin Mahakumbh in Karnal. The entire community is grateful for this positive development.
