Indore’s Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport faced a bomb threat, prompting the police to launch an investigation, an official revealed on Wednesday. The threat, received via email on Tuesday, targeted multiple cities in the country.
The Aerodrum police station registered a case, and authorities are working with Gmail to gather information. DCP Vinod Kumar Meena stated that similar threats have occurred before, and investigations are ongoing.
In a separate incident on June 12, an Indore mental hospital received a bomb threat through email, which was later determined to be false. Police and the Bomb Disposal Squad conducted a thorough search, finding no evidence of danger.
