For most Indians, monkey mayhem is an everyday affair—particularly at tourist spots. But for an American travel vlogger, a recent experience with a troop of mischievous monkeys in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, became a viral sensation.
The video, uploaded by @vanboys222 on Instagram, is of the vlogger driving a scooty with a little bag in front of him. A chocolate cake and some oranges that he had intended to consume later were inside the bag. As he stops momentarily, a few monkeys gather around him. One quickly grabs the cake, and others pick up the oranges, leaving the vlogger wide-eyed and starving.
Posting about the experience on Instagram, the vlogger captioned, “I got robbed in India, can’t believe these guys got me, I was saving that chocolate cake and oranges for tonight, now I’m hungry.”
