The Union cabinet, in its first meeting of Narendra Modi’s third term as Prime Minister, has sanctioned assistance for the construction of an additional 3 crore rural and urban houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The decision was made during the cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.
Newly appointed ministers, who were sworn in the previous day at the Rastrapati Bhavan, attended the meeting, arriving at the Prime Minister’s residence around 5 pm. Notably, the meeting took place despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi yet to announce the portfolios of the newly appointed ministers.
This development marks a significant step towards addressing housing needs across rural and urban areas in India under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. As the story unfolds, stay tuned for further updates.
