Minister of Defence Visits Russia for Important Military Discussions and Naval Event

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be visiting Russia from December 8 to 10, 2024, to enhance defense relations between the two countries. He will also be co-chairing the 21st meeting of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) with Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belousov in Moscow on December 10.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will travel to Russia from December 8 to 10, 2024, further enhancing the strong defence relationship between the two countries. A major highlight of the journey will be the commissioning of INS Tushil, India’s newest multi-role stealth-guided missile frigate, at the Yantra Shipyard in Kaliningrad on December 9. This signifies a landmark in India’s naval strength.

It is an action that strengthens the mutual respect and history held by India and Russia.

Additionally, the Defence Minister is anticipated to connect with members of the Indian community in Russia, reinforcing personal and diplomatic relationships between the two countries.
