Milestone: Delhi’s LG Saxena Unveils Two All Women Police Posts

In a significant stride toward fostering gender inclusivity and enhancing community safety, the Honorable Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Delhi, Vinay Kumar Saxena, inaugurated two All Women Police Posts (AWPP) today. The inauguration ceremony, attended by Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, and other senior police officers, marked a momentous occasion for the city.
Strategically located at Shraddhanand Marg, PS Kamla Market in the Central District, and Khan Market, PS Tughlak Road, the two All Women Police Posts embody a commitment to inclusivity and efficiency in policing, representing a progressive step towards gender parity in law enforcement.
Khan Market, a hub of cosmopolitan diversity and international allure, now hosts an All Women Police Post. With its bustling atmosphere and frequent visits from foreign delegates, Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs), and tourists, the market plays a pivotal role in showcasing the vibrancy of New Delhi.
The establishment of the All Women Police Post at Khan Market underscores a commitment to gender equality and empowerment within law enforcement. This dedicated team is equipped with the necessary gadgets and stands ready to manage a spectrum of responsibilities, from crime prevention to community engagement.
The All Women Police Post at Shraddhanand Marg has been inaugurated with the aim of facilitating women complainants, ensuring a strong women police presence, and addressing persistent concerns related to women’s safety. Sub-Inspector Kiran Sethi has been appointed as the In-Charge/Post Personnel (IC/PP), leading a team of dedicated women staff.
During the inauguration, the Honorable Lieutenant Governor interacted briefly with residents and motivated the women personnel to continue their dedicated service to the community. The All Women Police Post at Shraddhanand Marg exemplifies a commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive environment for women in the city.
