Mexico gets its first Ram Mandir in Queretaro

Preceding the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in the recently constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Temple scheduled for Monday, Mexico’s city of Queretaro welcomed its inaugural Lord Ram Temple on Sunday. The consecrated idols for this newly established temple were imported from India.

Megh Updates, the Indian Agency in Mexico, shared on X, “The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony was performed by an American Priest with Mexican hosts & the idols brought from India. The atmosphere was filled with divine energy as the hymns & songs sung by the Indian diaspora reverberated throughout the hall.” An American priest, alongside Mexican hosts, conducted the consecration ceremony of the deity amid hymns and songs sung by the Indian diaspora. Subsequently, the temple was inaugurated and opened for devotees.

Simultaneously, the temple town in Uttar Pradesh is gearing up for the highly anticipated grand consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on Monday afternoon. This sacred event, symbolizing the consecration of the deity within the temple’s sanctum sanctorum, is poised to become a historic moment due to its profound cultural and symbolic significance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the consecration ceremony, which will be conducted by a team of priests led by Varanasi priest Lakshmikant Dixit. The Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya commenced on January 16, a week ahead of the main ceremony. On January 18, the idol of Shri Ram Lalla, crafted by the renowned Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was installed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
