MEA establishes control room and helplines amid Israel attack

In response to the escalating conflict between Hamas, Hezbollah terrorists, and Israel, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in India has taken swift action by setting up a 24/7 control room in Delhi. This strategic move is complemented by separate emergency helplines in Tel Aviv and Ramallah, reflecting a commitment to monitoring the situation and providing essential assistance to Indians in the affected regions.
The attacks by Hamas and Hezbollah have caused widespread concern globally, resulting in over 1,200 casualties. While approximately 18,000 Indians reside in Israel, fortunately, no harm has been reported to them thus far.
To facilitate communication and support, the MEA has released contact numbers and a toll-free helpline (0001-8797, 97) for inquiries. Additionally, a dedicated situational room and an emergency helpline accessible through various means have been established.
Taking a proactive stance, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has implemented a 24-hour emergency helpline (972-3522-6748) along with an email address for immediate assistance. Similarly, India’s Representative Officer in Ramallah has introduced a 24-hour emergency helpline accessible via WhatsApp and email.
