Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi Highlights Olympics, Math Olympiad Success, And Heritage

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 112th episode of his monthly radio show,  hg  Mann Ki Baat, on Sunday, July 28, at 11 am.This was his second address since the Lok Sabha elections and his first since the UnionBudget 2024-25 was announced.

During the broadcast, he encouraged everyone to support the Indian athletes competing in the Paris Olympics. He said, “The Olympics are a global event where our athletes have the chance to represent India and make us proud. Cheer for our athletes and support Bharat!”

PM Modi also highlighted the achievements of Indian participants in the International Mathematics Olympiad, where India ranked in the top five. He congratulated the students who represented the country: Aditya Venkat Ganesh and Siddharth Chopra from Pune, Arjun Gupta from Delhi, Kanav Talwar from Greater Noida, Rushil Mathur from Mumbai, and Anando Bhaduri from Guwahati.

In his address, PM Modi praised Assam’s Charaideo Maidam, recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. He invited people to visit this historic site, which is India’s 43rd World Heritage Site and the first from the Northeast. He also reminded listeners about the unveiling of the statue of the Great Ahom warrior Lachit Borphukan earlier this year.

The Prime Minister urged people to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign leading up to Independence Day on August 15. He encouraged citizens to upload selfies with the Indian flag on the website http://harghartiranga.com and to send in their suggestions as they do every year.

Mann Ki Baat is broadcast in 22 Indian languages, 29 dialects, and 11 foreign languages, including French, Chinese, and Arabic. Over 500 All India Radio centers broadcast the show, which has reached over 100 crore people. It aims to connect directly with the public, celebrate local achievements, and inspire positive action.
