Maharashtra: Six Exit Polls Favor NDA, INDIA Bloc Trails

Exit polls following the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections suggest an edge for the NDA, but uncertainties linger ahead of the vote count on November 23.

In Maharashtra, six out of ten exit polls predict a clear advantage for the NDA (Mahayuti), while one indicates a near-equal contest, and three favor the INDIA bloc (Maha Vikas Aghadi). The projections for NDA seats in the 288-member assembly range from 157 (P-Marq) to 195 (People’s Pulse). Poll Diary predicts 122–186 seats for the NDA and 69–121 seats for the INDIA alliance, highlighting significant overlaps in the estimates.

Meanwhile, in Jharkhand’s 81-member house, three of seven exit polls give a clear edge to the NDA, with Times Now-JVC suggesting a close race where INDIA nears the majority mark of 41 seats. Dainik Bhaskar forecasts a neck-and-neck contest with no clear majority for either alliance, while two pollsters project a win for the INDIA bloc.

The exit poll predictions come amid recent skepticism over their accuracy, following missteps in the Lok Sabha and Haryana elections earlier this year. With results due soon, all eyes are on whether these forecasts will hold true.
