Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and Coldplay concerts in Ahmedabad and Mumbai have been some of the greatest talking points on the net for netizens who have drawn a huge crowd since November. An X post from India in Pixels has generated debate, and a conversation on what event people across different states are searching more for on Google:.
The post has a map of India with the question, “Did your state search more for Coldplay or Maha Kumbh?” It shows that Maha Kumbh came out as the overall winner since states in red show more searches for it, while those in blue have a leaning towards Coldplay. The caption read, “Did your state Google more ‘Coldplay’ or ‘Maha Kumbh’ in the last 90 days?”

The post soon sparked attention, garnering different comments from users: “Do you have any survey on what AI tools were used across India?” Another user remarked, “Any way to determine the actual no. of attendance from each state at both these events?” Commenting, another user said, “Maha Kumbh obviously will win. India is the oldest civilization to have grand events around Mahadev.”
However, there were some criticisms stating that this comparison was incorrect due to different time frames. One user replied, “The data is not appropriate as Coldplay was the talk of the town in November and December, whereas Kumbh Mela became the talk of the town in January. I think you should compare from November 2024 to February 2025, then come up with the data. That would be more appropriate.”
