Chhath Puja 2025 Date & Time

In 2025, Chhath Puja falls between October 25 and October 28. The order of days starts with Nahay-Khaay on October 25 (Saturday), then Kharna on October 26 (Sunday), Sandhya Arghya on October 27 (Monday), and ends with Usha Arghya on October 28 (Tuesday).

Chhath Puja 2025 Usha Arghya Sunrise Time in Lucknow

At Lucknow, the Usha Arghya, i.e., the morning worship to the rising sun, will be observed on October 28, when the sun will rise at around 6:12 AM. Believers assemble on riverbanks or water bodies early in the morning, wading into knee-deep water to offer Thekua, fruits, and sugarcane, reciting mantras, as a tribute to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya.

Chhath Puja 2025 Muhurat in Lucknow

Hindu Panchang suggests that the Shashthi Tithi starts on October 27 at 6:04 AM and ends on October 28 at 7:59 AM. The favourable window for Sandhya Arghya is the time of sunset at 6:27 PM, whereas the Usha Arghya coincides with the morning sunrise at 6:12 AM on the next day.

Chhath Puja 2025 Rituals in Lucknow

Around Lucknow, the devotees observe Chhath Puja with great devotion along the Gomti River, village tanks, and neighborhood ghats. The process includes purity, fasting and prayers done with a state of surrender. Transient ghats are prettily adorned with lamps, flowers and rangolis, diffusing a sacred ambiance.

The Paran for Chhath Puja 2025 will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 28, after the morning Arghya. The family members go home after the ritual to enjoy prasad, and the celebration of the festival is concluded with wishes for prosperity and good health.
