LS Polls 2024: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi And Sonia Gandhi Cast Their Vote

In the course of the ongoing 6th phase of the Lok Sabha election, congress parliamentary chairperson Sonia Gandhi along with her son and party MP Rahul Gandhi cast their vote on Saturday in Delhi.

Later, the mother-son duo also took a selfie outside the polling booth, after giving their vote.

Meanwhile, the voting is taking place across 58 parliamentary constituencies, which cover six states and two Union Territories (UTs).

The sixth phase of the election is currently taking place in states like Bihar (8 seats), Haryana (10 seats), Jammu and Kashmir (1 seat), Jharkhand (4 seat), Delhi (7 seats) Odisha (6 seats), Uttar Pradesh (14 seats) and West Bengal (8 seats).

Moreover, an interesting contest is taking place at Delhi, as both AAP and Congress are jointly contesting against BJP, who has consecutively won all seven seats in the last two elections.

As per the existing seat-sharing agreement, congress is contesting on three seats in national capital, while AAP on the other hand, is contesting on 4 seats of the city.

Besides, in other places too, the competition is tough. As Haryana is witnessing a multi-cornered contest among various political parties.

In Haryana, both congress and AAP are jointly fighting against BJP, while other parties like INLD, Jannayak Janata Party too are giving tough competition to these mainstream parties.

The 2024 general elections will come to an end in June 1, after the conclusion of seventh phase of the election. Subsequently, the results will be declared on June 4.
