According to the news in the media, the party has offered Menaka Gandhi the ticket from her son Varun’s seat, Pilibhit. Menaka is not prepared for this. She wants Varun to contest from Pilibhit, and she herself to be given the ticket from her seat, Sultanpur. The party is unhappy with Varun for raising questions about the government’s policies. Therefore, this time they are not inclined to give him the ticket. If Menaka is not ready to contest from Pilibhit, the party has decided to offer the ticket to Jatin Prasad. It is being understood from this that the party could also cut the tickets of Indira Gandhi’s daughter-in-law Menaka and her grandson Varun.

However, there is another aspect too. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is particularly serious about each seat this time. Sources believe that if Varun’s ticket is cut, he will contest independently. This will impact the elections in Uttar Pradesh. The entire opposition will stand in support of Varun Gandhi. Prime Minister Modi would not want such a challenge. Varun Gandhi bought the nomination papers on Wednesday, indicating that if the party does not give him the ticket, he will contest independently. However, the decision to give the ticket has been left to Prime Minister Modi. A decision on Varun is expected in Friday’s CEC meeting.
