Lok Sabha Election 2024: PM Modi to rally in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will addresses election rallies in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh today, April 23, one day before the second phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign comes to a close.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria, has been nominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to speak at a public meeting in the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituency. After voting on twelve seats in the first phase on April 19, Rajasthan is scheduled to hold elections for thirteen seats in the second phase on April 26.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Modi will head to Chhattisgarh to address a public rally in Baradwar village, located in the Janjgir-Champa Lok Sabha constituency. Additionally, he is scheduled to speak at another public meeting in Shyamtarai village within the Dhamtari district, a part of the Mahasamund Lok Sabha constituency. Voting for the Mahasamund seat is scheduled for the second phase on April 26, while Janjgir-Champa will vote in the third phase on May 7.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Amit Shah will conduct a roadshow at Swami Vivekananda Circle in the Bengaluru South constituency of Karnataka. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also set to address public gatherings in Chitradurga and Bengaluru’s HSR Layout within the Bengaluru South constituency on Tuesday.

BJP president JP Nadda will undertake campaign activities in Tikamgarh, Rewa, and Satna constituencies of Madhya Pradesh today. Meanwhile, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will campaign in Bisahda village near Noida, a place notable for the 2015 mob lynching incident of Mohammed Akhlaq. The voting for this constituency is scheduled for the second phase on April 26. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath plans to address two rallies in Baghpat and Amroha and conduct a roadshow in Meerut on Tuesday.

In Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief and former CM Akhilesh Yadav will campaign for INDIA bloc candidates in Aligarh and Baghpat, while BSP chief Mayawati will address election rallies in Meerut and Aligarh on Tuesday.

The first phase of elections witnessed a turnout of 60 percent of the total electors across 102 parliamentary seats on April 19, spanning 21 states and Union Territories. The second phase of voting is scheduled for April 26.
