Khalistani Terrorist Issues Threat Ahead Republic Day Parade

US-based terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who is the founder of the banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has delivered fresh threats ahead of Jan 26 (Republic Day). Pro Khalistani graffiti on social media are also getting viral that contains threats ahead of the Republic Day parade on Jan 26. It claims that the group aims to “avenge” the death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Informing that Nijjar was killed outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, Canada on June 18 last year by unanimous men.

However, the SFJ group was declared an ‘Unlawful Association’ by the Government of India in 2019. One of the ‘designated individual terrorists’ declared by GOI, Pannun has been actively exhorting Punjab-based gangsters and youth over social media to fight for the cause of the independent state of Khalistan, challenging the sovereignty, integrity, and security of the country.

Last year in September, Pannun asked the Hindu – Canadians to leave Canada amid tensions that erupted after the diplomatic row between India and Canada over the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

However, the Ministry of External Affairs has raised concerns over the issue with the United States and the Canadian authorities.

Pannun is under the NIA’s radar since 2019 when the anti -terror agency registered its first case against him. Pannun is known for playing a major role in promoting and commissioning terror activities in Punjab and elsewhere in the country.

The NIA through its investigation has come across that SFJ was misusing cyberspace to radicalise gullible youth and to instigate them to undertake terrorist crimes and activities.
