Bibin Chacko of Kerala won the internet heart with his homemade model of Lamborghini Huracan using scrap materials. His dream car, which took three years of persistence, went viral recently, showing off his creativity and determination.

Chacko made a nine-part YouTube series named Homemade Supercar, in which he recorded his journey, taking his subscribers through a close-up of how he constructed his dream car.

His Lamborghini body is made of multiwood and fibreglass, carefully molded to replicate the actual supercar’s aerodynamic shape. It sits atop an entirely custom-built chassis.

As opposed to the original Huracan, Chacko’s version uses a Maruti 800 engine under the bonnet, a world away from the thundering supercar engine but nevertheless a remarkable achievement that speaks of his resourceful deployment of what was at hand.

The project picked up even more momentum after automotive vlogger Arun Smoki included it in his channel. The video, posted on June 27, crossed 1 lakh views within no time, eliciting general approval in the comments.
