Kejriwal’s 11 AM Press Conference Today

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is gearing up to hold a Press Conference on Tuesday, amidst mounting pressure on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in light of the Swati Maliwal assault case. Kejriwal, utilizing the party’s official handle ‘X’, announced, “I will hold a press conference at 11 am.”

Asserting his commitment amidst the controversy, Kejriwal pledged to grant full statehood to the national capital once the opposition alliance, INDIA bloc, assumes power in the Centre. “On June 4, the INDIA coalition government will form, with the Aam Aadmi Party as a participant. We will grant full statehood to Delhi,” Kejriwal affirmed during a recent roadshow in East Delhi.

Directing criticism towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kejriwal accused him of neglecting his elected responsibilities and concentrating on targeting opposition leaders. “The people elected the Prime Minister, but he has forsaken his duties and now operates akin to a police officer,” Kejriwal remarked, urging Modi to prioritize issues such as employment and inflation.

In response to these developments, authorities have established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the Swati Maliwal case. The AAP Rajya Sabha MP had accused Kejriwal’s former personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar, of assault.

As Delhi braces for Lok Sabha elections on May 25 and subsequent vote counting on June 4, political tensions escalate. Under the seat-sharing agreement, the Congress is contesting three seats, while the AAP has nominated candidates in four constituencies across Delhi.
