Tihar Jail administration and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal clashed on Monday. According to AAP Kejriwal has written a letter to the Tihar Jail superintendent under which he had kept his concerns regarding the statements of jail administration about the issue of insulin.
CM Kejriwal had said in his letter, “I have read the statement of Tihar administration in the newspaper. I felt sad after reading the statement. Both the statements of Tihar are false. I am asking for insulin daily. I showed the glucose meter readings and said that the sugar is going very high three times a day. Sugar goes between 250 to 320.”
The convenor of the party further said that he had always asked for the insulin. He further claimed that his sugar level was always hovered in the range of 160-200 every day. He said that he had asked for the insulin everyday. He further questioned Tihar Jail about how they can say that I never asked for the insulin.
As per party sources, he further asked about the AIIMS doctor ‘Nothing to worry about’ statement. “AIIMS doctors never said that there was nothing to worry about. Doctors of AIIMS have said that they will give advice after looking at the data and history.” The Tihar administration is lying under political pressure.”
He alleged that Tihar jail administration is under political pressure.
Recently, the Delhi court on Monday, had declined a plea of Kejriwal which demanded the directions for the Tihar jail authorities for administering insulin and get consultation through video conference daily from the doctor for 15 minutes. In respect to his acute diabetes and changing blood sugar level.
Earlier AAP leader Atishi made serious accusations against the Tihar officials and Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleging that a conspiracy is made to make sure that Arvind Kejriwal doesn’t get insulin.
