Kejriwal Accuses BJP of Voter List Manipulation Ahead of Delhi Elections

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched a sharp criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday, accusing the party of manipulating voter lists in Delhi as part of an operation he dubbed “Operation Lotus.” Kejriwal claimed that the BJP has been orchestrating this operation since December 15 to sway the outcome of the upcoming state assembly elections.

At a press conference on Sunday (December 29), Kejriwal stated, “The BJP has already conceded defeat in Delhi. They have no chief ministerial candidate, no vision, and no credible options. To win at any cost, they are resorting to dishonest tactics like manipulating the voter list.”

He specifically mentioned that in his New Delhi Assembly constituency, “Operation Lotus” has been in motion since December 15, with applications to delete 5,000 voters and add 7,500 new ones. Kejriwal alleged that this manipulation is affecting 12% of the votes.

Kejriwal also pointed to Shahdara, where the BJP reportedly applied to delete 11,800 votes. However, the move was halted following intervention from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
