Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah promises strict action in Bengaluru cafe blast case

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday asked the opposition BJP to refrain from politicizing the Rameshwaram Cafe explosion in Bengaluru while promising the stricted possible action in the case. The Karnataka chief minister stressed that a thorough inquiry is already in progress to ascertain the reasons behind the blast and pinpoint the individuals involved.

“A person entered a bus while wearing a mask and a cap, adjusted the timer, and then detonated it. Yesterday, the Home Minister and Deputy CM paid a visit to the location. Today, I’ll visit the hospital and the location as well,” Siddaramaiah declared while speaking to the media in Bengaluru.

In response to claims made by BJP leaders that minorities are being appeased by his government, Siddaramaiah asked, “What did they do when the Mangalore cooker bomb burst? A bomb exploded in their time too. Even then, was it just appeasement?”

Siddaramaiah urged the opposition not to politicize the situation, saying, “A thorough investigation is being conducted. The BJP shouldn’t get involved in this political game. The explosions in Bengaluru and Mangalore are unrelated. The explosion is currently being investigated, and following the report, the necessary steps will be taken.”

In addition, the Chief Minister requested a meeting with senior law enforcement officials on Saturday afternoon regarding the explosion that occurred in the Rameshwaram cafe.

Speaking about the meeting with the Chief Minister, State Home Minister G Parameshwara said, “We have a meeting at 1 pm, the CM will lead the meeting, higher police officers will attend the meeting regarding the blast.”

DK Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister of Karnataka, announced that seven or eight teams have been assembled to investigate the blast. It was an explosion at a modest intensity. A young person arrived and took a tiny bag, which burst an hour later. Ten or so persons were hurt. 7-8 teams were assembled to look into the situation. We are examining everything. “I urge all Bangaloreans to be at ease,” he uttered.
