The results for the 2025 JNUSU elections is officially out. The annual elections saw the dominant Left unity take victory in all the major positions, defeating their counterparts with a healthy lead.

JNUSU Elections Result 2025: Left Unity Takes The Win Over ABVP

The JNUSU election has wrapped up with the Left Unity taking the win over the RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

The 2025 elections saw tight competition among the left and right wings of JNU, with candidates from both sides getting fanfare during the polling. However, the long-standing dominance of the Left Unity has continued for another year, with all four major positions going in the left's favour.

For the President's position, Aditi Mishra from the Left secured a win over ABVP's Vikas Patel, receiving 1,861 votes to Patel's 1447. K. Gopika became the new Vice President of JNU's student union after securing a 1000+ vote lead against ABVP's Tanya Kumari. 

The General Secretary's position saw a hard-fought battle between Left's Sunil Yadav and ABVP's Rajeshwar Kant Dubey, with Yadav securing the win in the end, with 1,915 votes. Danish Ali took the win for the post of Joint Secretary with 1991 votes, against ABVP's Anuj Damara, who received 1762 votes.
