J&K Administration Announces Transfers of Key Officers

In a significant reshuffle within the Jammu and Kashmir administration, several senior officers have been transferred to new positions, with immediate effect. The changes are aimed at improving administrative efficiency and governance across various sectors.

The following transfers have been announced:

1. Ms. Nidhi Malik, IAS (AGMUT: 2013), who was awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration Department, has been appointed as the new **Deputy Commissioner of Reasi.

2. Mr. Vishesh Paul Mahajan, JKAS, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Reasi, has been transferred and posted as the new **Director of Tourism, Jammu.

3. Mr. Rupesh Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 2019), who was also awaiting orders of posting, has been appointed as the **Director of Social Welfare, Jammu.

4. Mr. Shazad Alam, IAS (AGMUT: 2019), who was also awaiting posting orders, has been appointed as the **Director of Employment, Jammu and Kashmir, replacing Mr. Nisar Ahmed Wani, JKAS. Alam will also hold the additional charge of **Chief Executive Officer of Mission Youth and Mission Director of Mission YUVA until further orders.

5. Mr. Nisar Ahmed Wani, JKAS, the outgoing Director of Employment, has been directed to report to the **General Administration Department for further posting.

These transfers are expected to bring a fresh perspective and increased focus on the administration’s key priorities in the region.
