Jagdeep and Jasveer Kaur won medals

Jagdeep Singh and Jasvir Kaur Dhillon from the Derabassi constituency have made a mark in the ongoing Khedan Watan Punjab Ki by excelling in the district-level competitions. Both athletes secured multiple medals, earning their way to the state-level contests. Jagdeep Singh, popularly known as Vicky, hailing from Jawaharpur, displayed remarkable talent in the shot put competition by clinching a gold medal with an impressive throw of 12.50 meters in the 41-year age category. In addition to his gold in shot put, Vicky also earned a bronze medal, further cementing his dominance in the field. His versatility was evident as he also secured second place in the javelin throw competition, showcasing his broad skill set in athletics.
Jasvir Kaur Dhillon, from Sundra village, also shone brightly in the competition, earning a gold medal in the 800-meter walk event. Her athletic prowess didn’t stop there, as she also secured a silver medal in the grueling 3000-meter event, demonstrating her endurance and determination. Her outstanding performances in both track and field events have earned her widespread recognition in the local sports community. Additionally, Sunil Saini from Devinagar village also made his presence felt by securing the third position in the shot put competition. His efforts were commendable, placing him among the top competitors in the event.
These athletes have not only brought pride to their respective villages but have also become symbols of perseverance and dedication in the Derabassi constituency. Their achievements at the district level have paved the way for them to compete at the state level, where they will represent their region and continue to strive for further success. The Khedan Watan Punjab Ki competition has provided a platform for athletes like Jagdeep Singh, Jasvir Kaur, and Sunil Saini to showcase their talents and make significant contributions to the sports landscape of Punjab.
