Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh:  The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the PSLV-C60 rocket from Sriharikota today, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s space endeavors. The rocket, carrying the SpaDeX mission along with other innovative payloads, took off as scheduled, with the first stage performance reported as normal.

The SpaDeX mission is a cost-effective technology demonstrator aimed at showcasing in-space docking capabilities. The mission’s primary objective is to develop and demonstrate the technology needed for the rendezvous, docking, and undocking of two small spacecraft in a low-Earth circular orbit. The spacecraft involved in the mission include SDX01 (Chaser) and SDX02 (Target), which will perform these critical tasks in space.

With this mission, India is poised to become the fourth country in the world to have developed space docking technology, solidifying its position in the global space community. The SpaDeX mission is a vital step toward advancing India’s capabilities in space exploration and technology.
