A major political choas has raised just after a Pakistani leader openly claimed that Islamabad-backed terror groups were behind the November 10 Red Fort blast in Delhi. Reportedly in a viral video, Anwarul Haq, the former “Prime Minister” of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, said that attacks were carried out as retaliation for India’s alleged involvement in Balochistan. Haq claimed that militants linked to Pakistan launched operations “from the Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir,” suggesting deliberate targeting across Indian territory.

Claims Linked to Two Major Terror Attacks

Haq’s remarks referred to two violent incidents this year the terror attack in Pahalgam in April and the suicide bombing near Delhi’s Red Fort last week. During a speech in the PoK Assembly, he said, “I earlier said that if you keep bleeding Balochistan, we’ll hit India from Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir. By the grace of Allah, we’ve done it and they’re still unable to count bodies.”

He further added, “Few days later, armed men entered and attacked (Delhi) and they haven’t probably counted all the bodies so far,” directly hinting at the Red Fort blast. Indian investigators have connected the attack to a larger “white-collar terror module” affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), founded by UN-designated terrorist Masood Azhar.

Pakistan Accuses India Over Balochistan

Islamabad has repeatedly accused India of stoking unrest in Balochistan, a claim New Delhi strongly dismisses. India has consistently maintained that Pakistan is using these allegations to distract from its own record of supporting cross-border terrorism. New Delhi has denied any involvement in violence in the region.

Tensions Rise After Pakistan Defence Minister’s Warning

Anwarul Haq’s declaration comes at a time of increasing strain between the two neighbours. Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif recently warned that the country must be prepared for the possibility of an “all-out war” with India, saying Islamabad is on “full alert.” He stated, “We cannot ignore (India) in any way… We are not ignoring India, and our preparation and alert are at maximum. We cannot trust India in any way. We cannot rule out (attack) as India can directly intervene. It can continue attacks from there (presumably Afghanistan) and it can go for an all-out war as per its strategy.”

Details of the Red Fort Blast

The deadly explosion in Delhi on November 10 was later identified as a suicide attack orchestrated by the terror module linked to JeM. Ten people were killed and many others were wounded after an explosives-filled vehicle detonated near the historic Red Fort. Forensic teams found that the car was driven by Kashmir-origin doctor Umar Un Nabi, whose severed leg remained trapped between the steering wheel and the accelerator.

He worked as an assistant professor at Al Falah University in Faridabad. Delhi Police later linked him to Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie and Dr Adeel Rather, who were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities say the two suspects had stored more than 2,900 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, detonators, assault weapons, and timers in Faridabad as part of the terror network’s operations.
