Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar proclaimed India’s unstoppable ascent on Friday as he inaugurated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ bike rally, initiated from Pragati Maidan and concluding at Major Dhyan Chand stadium.
The rally, a precursor to the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative from August 13 to 15, encourages Indians to hoist the national flag at their residences. This campaign is part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) commemorating 75 years of India’s independence. Last year, it saw millions hoisting flags and six crore sharing selfies on the campaign’s website.
Union ministers G Kishan Reddy, Anurag Thakur, Piyush Goyal, and Meenakshi Lekhi, among others, attended. Echoing sentiments of patriotism, Dhankhar stated, “The world recognizes our historical achievements.” He further envisioned India at the pinnacle by 2047, its centennial independence year.
The vice president emphasised the nation’s fervour and echoed the prime minister’s sentiments about the campaign touching the hearts of Indians.
